Ince Castle

Ince Castle is at the end of a very attractive peninsula sticking out into the River Lynher opposite Antony House and gardens. The house is approached up a straight tunnel-like drive lined with daffodils which are then followed by clouds of cow parsley. The gardens, which have been planted since 1960, comprise woodland with camellias, magnolias etc and masses of bulbs and hellebores in early spring and more formal mixed beds and borders near the house, also an orchard with more bulbs and shrubs. There is a charming shell house made in 1964 by the present owner’s parents. Beautiful river views can be seen from all parts of the garden. In all the gardens extend to about 5 acres.
